A survival guide to writing

Sorry for uploading a few days late! I've been busy.

So. Writing is great and fun and all, but it takes so LONG. Especially if you write longhand, like me. xD

So here's my survival guide to writing.

One: have pizza at the ready. LOTS OF IT. Pizza is my writing fuel, and I can't survive without pizza. Did I mention have pizza?

Two: have music playing in the background. I like to use Pandora radio and have a good playlist playing. It's typically either classical music (Beethoven, Pachelbel, etc) or Disney. I'm a kid at heart.

Three: Go hide in your bed and die slowly while avoiding your book. Try not to die while you're writing your book... xD

Four: Have a good hot drink on hand. A personal favorite is raspberry tea with honey in it. Lots and LOTS of honey...

Five: Just avoid your book. It can wait. xD No, I'm just a horrible person who doesn't like writing...

I'm not excited for editing. xD

back from the dead // some life updates, the future of this blog, and new projects

*rises from the dead* Well. I'm alive! It's only been... *checks calendar* oh, you know... almost six years since I updated my blog. Oops. life updates Where to start? My last update was on the cusp of the beginning of my sophomore year, and boy oh boy did a LOT of stuff change. Sophomore year was hectic and quite honestly... I don't remember most of it. As far as junior year goes, I was part of my high school's production of Newsies in November, entered a relationship in January 2019, got voted for prom court... then that relationship turned incredibly toxic and I blanked out for a solid four months at the end of it.  I don't remember most of my senior year, unfortunately.  I broke up with that person in December 2019, started dating someone else in February 2020... And then the pandemic hit. I somehow graduated high school, went to college for a semester and then moved back home. ALLLLLLLLLLLLL the writing/bookish things!

So. In case you haven't read my older posts yet, or if you're new, I'm kind of writing a book?! It's crazy and awesome and just GAH all at the same time. But I love it. SO MUCH. So I've already started a Google Form for a beta reader sign-up. If you're interested, please sign up! *NOTE* It will  be a little while before I start sending it out to people.
